2024: Tochka Bank bought Digitalkassa

At the end of November 2024, it became known that Tochka Bank acquired the IT company Digitalkassa, a developer of software for cloud cash registers. The deal will allow the bank to expand the range of services in the field of accepting payments for business.

Digitalkassa employees will continue to work within the existing legal entity, which will be divided into two brands - Digitalkassa and "Checkout Point." The service will be integrated into the ecosystem of banking products.

Evgenia Evlyutina, co-founder of Tochka Bank, said Digitalkassa, despite its recent market entry in 2023, has significant potential, which has become the main factor in making an investment decision.

The founder of Digitalkassa is Andrei Kuznetsov, and the customer base of the service has more than a thousand organizations from various industries (by November 2024). Cloud checkout technology allows enterprises to rent a cash register located in a data center and carry out operations via the Internet without using a physical device at the sales site. The system ensures the creation of checks and the transfer of data to fiscal data operators.

According to CloudPayments analysts, the distribution of shares in the online cash register market in Russia is as follows: Atol occupies 40%, Orange Data - 25%, CloudKassir - 20%, and Evotor, owned by Sberbank, controls 5% of the market.

Industry experts note that online cash registers are becoming a standard component of acquiring services. The acquisition of Digitalkassa will allow Tochka Bank to accelerate the development of its own solution in this segment.[1]
