History
2023: Sitronics Group acquires 25% of Perm shipyard
On October 13, 2023, it became known that Sitronics Group acquired a stake in Perm Shipyard from its owner, the Perm Territory Development Fund.
Vedomosti reports that Sitronics bought 25% of the shipyard, the deal amounted to 100 million rubles, the official amount was not disclosed. The company had a staff of 156 at the time of the deal.
The company plans to invest in Perm Shipyard for the reconstruction and modernization of its production facilities. The contract assumes a possible increase in the share of ownership of the enterprise to 100%, a spokesman for Sitronics Group told the publication. |
Prior to the redemption of the share, 94.26% of the shipyard belonged to FRPK, and 5.73% to PNPPK - Marine power LLC. The shipyard started working again in 2021 after the Perm Territory Development Fund bought out the site of the Verkhnekamsk shipbuilding complex.
Sitronics President Nikolai Pozhidaev announced the company's intentions to increase its participation in the management of the Perm shipyard. The company plans to improve the equipment of the plant for equipping ships so that the shipyard becomes a "full-fledged shipbuilding enterprise." After improvements, the shipyard will be able to produce pleasure and cruise ships.
Production facilities, building structures as a whole are in good condition, the ship lifting mechanism and crane facilities are functioning. To start building ships, you need to carry out repair work, buy equipment. We will invest in further development of capacities as necessary, if additional projects and contracts are required to implement projects and contracts, Pozhidaev explained. |
Ilya Zharsky, managing partner of Veta, believes that 100 million rubles is a small investment for Sitronics, especially after the company invested 1 billion rubles in the Emerium plant, which now produces 20 ships a year.
{{quote 'This is rather a planned investment for the further development of the production division. The purchase of a block package may mean that the company will continue to absorb the shipyard, as it is interested in full control in theory. Sitronics receives another promising asset for the production of ships and related infrastructure, he notes. [2]
