JSC "Scientific and Production Association" State Institute of Applied Optics "(" NPO GIPO ") is a research and production center carrying out comprehensive research of a fundamental, search and applied nature, the development and production of modern optical and electronic systems. JSC "NPO GIPO" is part of the holding company "Schwabe."
History
2021: Diffraction Optics Supplies
From the beginning to August 2021, GIPO sent over 500 units of diffraction optics to foreign and Russian organizations. Large parties received customers from Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and Oslo.
In total, 537 units of diffraction gratings produced by the State Institute of Applied Optics (GIPO) of the Schwabe holding were delivered to the domestic and foreign markets. Of these, more than half were sent to Moscow and Sergiev Posad, another 91 to St. Petersburg. Scientists from the capital of Norway received a large batch of 75 bars. Some of the products were delivered to organizations in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and the Finnish city of Vantaa.
"Diffraction optics of HYPO are traditionally in demand both in the domestic and foreign markets - due to the high quality, competitive price and reliability. In 2020, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions, we delivered almost 1,200 products to customers - half of them went abroad. We are trying to maintain positive dynamics this year, "said GIPO CEO Willen Baloev.
HYPO has been producing grating since 1984. Scientists use these products, including for environmental research. As part of hyperspectral cameras, they record the spectral characteristics of each pixel in the image. Thanks to this, it is possible to track the state of vegetation and soil, carry out agricultural and geological mapping, and assess air quality.
GIPO is a research and production center of federal significance, where 70% of all diffraction optics are produced in Russia.
2018
As of September 2018, the main activities of the association include thermal imaging devices, optical-electronic channels for various purposes, studies of the optical characteristics of objects and backgrounds, metrological support of infrared technology, optical coatings, diffraction and aspherical optics, infrared lenses.
2010: Transformation into a joint stock company
On December 1, 2010, NPO GIPO was registered as a joint stock company.
2008: Inclusion in Rostec
In 2008, NPO GIPO became part of the state corporation "Russian Technologies."
1991
In 1991, GIPO was transformed into the scientific and production association "State Institute of Applied Optics" (NPO GIPO).
1966: Conversion of FYOI to GIPO
In 1966, the FSOI was transformed into the "State Institute of Applied Optics" (GIPO).
1957: Creation of the FGOI in Kazan
The association originates from April 12, 1957, from the date of creation in Kazan of a branch of the State Optical Institute named after S.I. Vavilov (Leningrad) - FGOI.
