Launch of logistics center in Zhukovsky for 3.3 billion rubles
In December 2023, Ozon brought to design capacity a new logistics center in the PNK Park Zhukovsky industrial park in the Moscow Region. The area of the high-tech complex exceeded 79 thousand square meters. The volume of investments in the project amounted to more than 3.3 billion rubles. Most of this amount was spent on the purchase of high-tech equipment and the creation of its own IT systems for automation of production.
According to RIA Novosti with reference to the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region Ekaterina Zinovieva, about 2.6 thousand jobs have been created within the framework of the new warehouse complex. About 650 thousand orders are processed at the facility every day.
It is noted that the Ozon logistics center in Zhukovsky carries out a full cycle of processing online orders - from receiving goods to forming parcels and their further distribution to sorting centers throughout Russia. The complex is able to accommodate more than 22 million goods of various categories.

When choosing the "leave at the door" option, the Ozon courier will call the client in advance to confirm the delivery address, the ability to access the entrance and clarify the place where you can leave the order.
At the same time, the buyer does not need to wait for the courier at the specified interval - the delivery person will leave the order next to the apartment door or at the concierge, and in order to confirm the fact of delivery, he will take a photo of the parcel on the spot - the picture will be available to the client in the "My orders" section in his personal account in the application or on the website.
During testing of the door-to-door delivery service, more than a quarter of customers reused it, the average check of such orders amounted to 3200 rubles, which is 15% more than the usual average in the service, according to Ozon. Over time, users ordered more than 500 such deliveries per day. Most often, "to the door" ordered household goods, cosmetics and food with a long shelf life.[2]
