The main activity of JSC Instrument Design Bureau of the Academician A.G. Shipunov — development and delivery of precision weapons, its spare parts and component parts for the benefit of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and all law enforcement agencies and also within programs of military and technical cooperation with foreign countries.

At the enterprise the full stroke of creation of arms and military equipment - from formation of the idea before production of finished goods is implemented.

"KBP" is a head developer during creation of difficult samples of arms and coordinates work of a large number of the enterprises and organizations, including institutes of Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation and Scientific Research Institute Ministry of Defence, creates ideology and perspectives of development of types of arms in the state scale.

"KBP" is included in the list of strategic joint-stock companies. Since 2008 is a part of Rostec Group, being one of the main enterprises of JSC NPO Vysokotochnye kompleksy holding.

Products

JSC KBP conducts development of arms in the directions:

• anti-tank missile systems;
• complexes of arms of the lightly armored equipment and tanks;
• artillery complexes of the managed arms;
• air defense complexes;
• trans-species missile systems;
• shooting and gun and grenade arms;
• civilian products.

Performance Indicators

Financial performance of "KBP" in absolute values does not reveal. For 2013 only data are provided that revenue of the enterprise grew by 35.8% in relation to 2012, and net profit - for 53.5%.

The number of workers of "KBP" at the end of 2013 was 7,581 persons.

Informatization

2015: Large purchase of software of Microsoft

In March, 2015 "KBP" published the message about ^[1] at the only supplier -RT-Inform - the software of Microsoft for the total amount of 8.1 million rubles.

The main part of purchase is made by the licenses Microsoft Office and Windows OS: 300 licenses Microsoft Office Standard 2013 for the amount about 2.9 million rubles, 80 licenses Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 for the amount more than 1 million rubles and 350 copies of Windows 8.1 Pro worth about 2 million rubles.

In addition 6 licenses Windows Server, one license Microsoft Exchange Server and on 350 client licenses of access to them and also 32 licenses Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 and 8of licenses SQL Server 2014 are a part of purchase.
