2023: Hotel Opening

In November 2023, Russia's largest hotel chain Cosmos Hotel Group, part of Sistema's portfolio, announced the opening of its first 5-star hotel. It was named Cosmos Selection Dombay Diamond Hotel and is located in the village of Dombay in Karachay-Cherkessia.

The hotel will accommodate 44 rooms of various categories: 12 suites, five junior suites and 27 standards. The hotel will be located in close proximity to the cable car - at a distance of less than a kilometer. The concept of the hotel assumes that all conditions will be created for guests to relax comfortably: entertainment and sports infrastructure, a spa with a pool, a fitness room, a restaurant, a bar and a tea house. Parking, a helipad and a park are also provided on the site. The hotel will employ about 90 people.

Dombai Ski Resort

In total, on Dombay, by November 2023, over 25 km of ski slopes of varying degrees of complexity at an altitude of 1590 to 3200 meters above sea level. During the summer season, tourists have access to various routes to natural attractions (glaciers, waterfalls and more).

The president of Cosmos Hotel Group, Alexander Biba, said that the new hotel is strategically important for the company, since Dombai is a well-known center of attraction for ski enthusiasts. And although it attracts more and more tourists every year, there is a shortage of hotels with a high level of service, he said.

By November 2023, Cosmos Hotel Group is one of the largest hotel management companies in the Russian market, its portfolio includes about 40 hotels in 20 cities of Russia and the world. The company carries out operational management of assets with a number of more than 10 thousand units.^[1]
