Kyrgyzstan Market Entry

PJSC, a MTS digital ecosystem, on August 15, 2025 announced that its subsidiary holding company MTS Media had brought Kyrgyzstan online movie theater KION to the market. For this, the streaming platform and Skynet Internetprovider Telecom entered into a partnership agreement.

During the launch, KION content will be integrated into the showcase of the Easy.OK online cinema. At the first stage, users will have access to more than 200 films and TV series, including original projects from the KION Originals line. They will become available as part of a separate subscription on the Easy.OK platform. In the future, the volume of KION content on the platform will expand.

Also a conclusion to the territory of the republic of book service of the Line is studied. It is discussed that users from Kyrgyzstan will be able to log in with a local phone number and access more than 250,000 electronic and audiobooks, as well as comics and podcasts. The service catalog contains works by Kyrgyz and foreign authors, guidebooks, popular science literature and research.

MTS combines online cinema, music and book service into a single content cluster Kion

On April 18, 2025, MTS merged the management of the Kion online cinema, MTS Music streaming and the Strings book service into a single content cluster called Kion. Alexey Ivanov, General Director of the Kion online cinema, has been appointed head of the new association.

The operational unification of digital services for the delivery of video, book and music content takes place within the framework of a media holding strategy aimed at creating a single media product and synchronizing content and marketing processes, MTS reports. The first step will be the integration of the entire line of original audiobooks of the "Strings" service into Kion, where a book section will appear in April.

Alexey Ivanov has been working at MTS since 2005. Since 2019, he served as Operating Director of MTS Media LLC (formerly Kion LLC), and since January 2023 - General Director of Kion. His responsibilities include strategic development of the company, control of business indicators and monetization of content. In the new role, Ivanov will also coordinate the content, marketing and technological processes of all three services.

MTS Media CEO Sofya Mitrofanova explained that the company forms a digital media universe not only in terms of content and meanings, but also in terms of product and user experience. In the new configuration, media services will interact more closely and efficiently, strengthening and complementing each other.
