The project of Marker.ru was started at the beginning of 2010. In it it is staked first of all on exclusive business information. 2011: Moving to new office and rumors about closing

• At the beginning of June, 2011. ID of Izvestia" restarted the website of Izvestia and updated the newspaper. According to him, will not affect work of the portal of change in any way - it will continue to leave in the normal mode. Meanwhile, Gazeta.ru with reference to the sources tells that Marker.ru is decided to be closed absolutely. The same information was broadcast "the Kommersant of FM".

At the same time in ID of News Media said to Lenta.ru that cannot confirm the specified information and called it "rumors". Besides, in an interview to Interfax the chairman of the board of directors of Izvestia and the head of News Media holding Aram Gabrelyanov called rumors about closing of Marker with "rubbish".

2012: Updating of the website is stopped

In the middle of August, 2012 the Marker.ru newspaper ceased to be updated. News of Media of Роем.ру reported that the project is not closed, but it will be reformatted. According to the chief executive Ashot Gabrelyanov, details of restart will be published in September^[1].

Marker.ru specialized in business subjects, however with transition to hands of News of Media of the Izvestia newspaper the most part of hot business insiders removed there.

2015: "The news of Media" will restart Marker.ru

The News of Media media holding of Aram Gabrelyanov will restart the Marker.ru edition, the deputy chief editor of Izvestia (enters into holding) Anastasia Kashevarova on the Facebook told. "Shortly in the field of mass media there will be a new information resource of Marker.ru which will be focused on new generation (someone calls it Putin's generation - let will be so)"^[2].

The concept of new Marker will be developed by Potapov who left Marker in 2012 for the sake of a position of the editor-in-chief of Izvestia and Kashevarova.
