Pacific State University is one of the largest higher educational institutions of the Russian Far East and participates in the formation of a unified culture of the educational space of the higher school of the Russian Federation.

  • 12 faculties (Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Social and Humanities, Faculty of Transport and Energy, Faculty of Automation and Information Technologies, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Computer and Basic Sciences, Faculty of Nature Management and Ecology, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Law, Correspondence Faculty, Faculty of Accelerated and Parallel Training, Faculty of Retraining and Advanced Training)

  • more than 21 thousand students studying in 53 specialties;
  • basic and applied research in more than 20 scientific areas;
  • over 900 scientific and pedagogical workers;
  • 10 dissertation councils: 7 "candidate" and 3 "doctoral";
  • postgraduate studies in 34 specialties and doctoral studies;
  • the possibility of obtaining a diploma from a foreign partner university during the period of study at the university;
  • scientific and technical library, with a book fund - 1.6 million storage units, in the halls of which more than 700 people can simultaneously work, 70 jobs have electronic access to the university library funds and Internet resources;
  • a number of research units: Khabarovsk Regional Center for New Information Technologies, Research Institute of Computer Technologies, Far Eastern Coordination Information Center, Eastern Regional Intercollegiate Center for International Cooperation, Far Eastern Intercollegiate Center for Collective Use for Construction, Khabarovsk branch of the regional department of departmental cadastre; TOGU-Construction Test Center, Serting Test Center and others;
  • 12 representative offices in the Far Eastern region.


In 2005, Khabarovsk State Technical University, by order of the Federal Agency for Education No. 170 of 23.03.2005, was renamed Pacific State University. For almost half a century of its existence, the university has gone from a branch university (1958) to a large scientific and cultural educational center of the Russian Far East with university status.

July 12, 1962 transformed into the Khabarovsk Polytechnic Institute.
