2021: Sber bought Fuelup

On November 22, 2021, Sber announced the purchase of the Fuelup service. Thanks to this acquisition, the bank began to develop its own fuel platform.

The latter announced the sale of 100% of Fuelup to Sberu on its website. At the same time, he did not disclose the value of the transaction.

Fuelup is planned to be integrated into the bank's ecosystem. Based on the service, Sber plans to develop its own fuel platform, which will be aimed at corporate and private customers, specified in Sber.

The service team will continue to work and apply its experience to implement the plans of the Sber ecosystem. The own fuel platform will improve the existing and create new online and offline services for filling at gas stations and will provide Sber partners in the retail fuel market with tools to attract customers and improve customer experience. Fuel platform services will also help in the implementation of the plans of many Sber ecosystem companies, the bank's press service noted.

Before this deal, Sber had already begun to offer a fuel solution for entrepreneurs and companies. The turnover of the retail fuel market in the Russian Federation, according to expert estimates, exceeds 3 trillion rubles, Sber emphasized.
