Other tasks of the center are to monitor the state of genetic resources of autochthonous grape varieties in places of its natural growth and cultivation; research related to the study and use of genetic resources of autochthonous grape varieties; creation and development of the infrastructure of the center, including a cryobank and an information storage and processing center.
Another decree of the President of the Russian Federation decided to form an interdepartmental commission on the formation, preservation and use of collections of genetic resources of autochthonous grape varieties. This commission is entrusted with the coordination of the activities of the National Center.[1]
