The Russian assets of the manufacturer of metal packaging for food products Silgan Holdings have been transferred to the temporary state administration. According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of July 11, 2024, 100% of the shares in Silgan Metal Packaging Stupino LLC (Moscow Region) and Silgan Metal Packaging Enem LLC (Adygea) owned by Silgan Holdings structures are now managed by the Federal Property Management Agency.
Transfer of Silgan assets under the management of Adygea
On July 15, 2024, it became known that the Russian assets of the manufacturer of metal packaging for food products Silgan Holdings are being managed by the Development Corporation of the Republic of Adygea JSC. This decision was made as part of Russia Vladimir Putin the implementation of the presidential decree on the transfer of these assets to temporary public administration.
As Interfax reports with reference to the press service of the head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov, such a step is aimed at restoring and ensuring the stable functioning of production, as well as preserving jobs and accumulated competencies for the production of packaging for food conservation.
The transfer of Silgan Holdings assets to the management of the Federal Property Management Agency was due to the actual inaction and non-participation in the operating activities of their owner, a resident of unfriendly countries, which led to the suspension of production activities.
Under the management of JSC "Corporation for the Development of the Republic of Adygea" two companies are transferred: LLC "Silgan Metal Baekajing Stupino" in the Moscow region and LLC "Silgan Metal Baekajing Enem" in Adygea. Previously, these enterprises belonged to Silgan structures.
JSC "Corporation for the Development of the Republic of Adygea," 100% of whose shares belong to the republic, is the management company of the industrial park "Enem" in Adygea. In addition, the organization is developing the infrastructure of state support for small and medium-sized businesses in the region.
Prior to the transfer to public administration, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, 100% of the shares of Silgan Metal Packaging Enem LLC belonged to the Austrian company Silgan Metal Packaging Mitterdorf GmbH, and 100% of Silgan Metal Packaging Stupino LLC belonged to Silgan Holdings Austria GmbH.[1]
