2024: State Ownership

In April 2024, eight Far Eastern fishing companies associated with the "crab kings" Oleg Kan, Dmitry Dremlyuga and Dmitry Pashov came under the control of the Federal Property Management Agency. This happened as part of the execution of the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Primorsky Territory on the claims of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

According to the Interfax agency, citing data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (Unified State Register of Legal Entities states), the fishing companies Priboy-T, Moneron, Sevrybflot, Aquamarine, Rentelit, Kuril Universal Complex, Simost Vostok, Primorskaya Fishing Company, as well as the taxi operator "City Eco Taxi." At the end of March 2024, the Arbitration Court of the Primorsky Territory satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office against 45 Far Eastern fishing companies in the amount of 358.7 billion rubles. The defendants, among other things, were Dmitry Dremlyuga, Oleg Kan and Dmitry Pashov. According to the supervisory authority, the companies violated the ban on the extraction of quotas for aquatic biological resources by foreigners and withdrew money abroad. According to the lawsuit, the defendants were controlled by the Korean company Olves Co. and Oleg Kang, who has a residence permit in South Korea.

In addition, Kahn is accused of four more articles of the Criminal Code. Among them are smuggling and customs and tax evasion. The companies Moneron, Kuril Universal Complex, Primorskaya Fishing Company, Aquamarin, Sevrybflot, Priboy-T, as well as the South Korean Olves Co are considered affiliated with Kan.

During the consideration of the claim, the defense of Oleg Kahn announced his death in order to stop the proceedings. The Prosecutor General's Office came to the conclusion that this was a staging.^[1]
