2023: Establishment of the Centre

Rusatom-Additive Technologies (RusAT) and the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) have agreed to create the first center for additive common access technologies (TsATOD) in the Far East, where students will be able to engage in research and practical work in the interests of oil refineries, ship repair, aircraft building and shipbuilding enterprises. The press service of the university announced this in mid-March 2023.

It is assumed that the new platform will become both an educational, scientific and production training ground for solving scientific and technological problems. Highly qualified teams of graduates of the Center for Additive Technologies will help significantly expand the scope of application of new technologies and speed up their implementation in real production, the FEFU said.

The strategic goal of FEFU is to train in-demand specialists together with leading companies that today create and ensure the independence and technological sovereignty of the country. Our educational programs are formed together with partners, and industry departments are supervised directly by practitioners representing the leaders of the Russian economy. The new educational center will allow us to transfer to students the best practices in the field of additive technologies from the industry leader - RusAT, - said the rector of FEFU Boris Korobets.
