The macro-regional branch of Siberia OJSC Rostelecom (Rostelecom - Siberia) is a structural unit of OJSC Rostelecom, which operates in the Siberian Federal District. Rostelecom Siberia was created in April 2011 on the basis of Sibirtelecom OJSC after the merger of this company with Rostelecom OJSC.

The company is the leader in the telecommunications market of the Siberian Federal District, occupying 34% of the total market volume. In the regional market of telecommunications services, the company accounts for 80% of local communications services, 97% - intra-zone communications services, 63% - Internet access services, 21% - cellular communications. The company serves about 4.4 million fixed-line subscribers and about 5.2 million cellular subscribers. The advantage of the company is the developed infrastructure of networks and the possibility of comprehensive provision of services to all categories of subscribers (population, organizations) throughout the service area.

Performance indicators

  • According to the results of 2010, Sibirtelecom won 256 state contract tenders for a total of 508.55 million rubles. This year, the company has been actively working with the largest state customers, including federal and regional authorities, branches of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, power structures (Internal Affairs Directorate, FSB, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Armed Forces of the Russian Federation), etc.

In comparison with the same period in 2009, Sibirtelecom increased the number of won tenders and concluded state contracts by 63%, the amount of income received increased by 38.8%. Positive dynamics was due to individual and more targeted work with corporate clients, as well as the introduction of electronic auctions.

Among the projects implemented are providing customers with high-speed Internet access services, local and intra-zone communication, as well as the construction of secure VPN networks that help optimize business processes, form a network infrastructure taking into account the individual needs of businesses and authorities, and as a result, allow the organization to provide all the necessary range of services and high-quality communication services.

  • The company's consolidated revenue from sales for the 9 months of 2010 amounted to RUB 29,282 million, an increase of RUB 845 million, or 3.0% compared to the same period in 2009. In the structure of the company's consolidated revenue, the main components are revenues from the provision of local telephone services (RUB 9,329 million) and mobile radiotelephone (cellular) communications (RUB 7,315 million). They account for 31.9% and 25.0% of the company's revenue, respectively. Significant items in the revenue structure are revenues from data transmission network services and telematics services (Internet) (4,942 million rubles) and from the provision of intra-zone telephone services (3,269 million rubles), or 16.9% and 11.2%, respectively. Revenues generated from interconnection and traffic transit services amounted to 9.2% (RUB 2,683 million) of consolidated revenue.

Compared to the same period in 2009, for the 9 months ended September 30, 2010, the increase in OIBDA amounted to 996 million rubles, or 8.7%. OIBDA margin was 42.3%. Operating income increased by RR 1,373 million, or 26.0%, to RR 6,647 million. Profit margin from operating activities - 22.7%.

Profit before tax increased by RUB 2,568 million and amounted to RUB 5,002 million. Profit for the reporting period increased by 1,995 million rubles. and amounted to 3,815 million rubles. Profit margin for the reporting period was 13.0%.

History

2024: Rostelecom restructuring: 5 of 7 macro-regions liquidated

Rostelecom carried out a large-scale restructuring of its organizational structure, liquidating five of the seven existing macro-regional branches (MRF). These transformations allowed the company to save about ₽5 billion annually. As of August 2024, only two macro-regional branches operate in the structure of Rostelecom: North-West and Center.
