2015: Uralmashzavod comes under the control of Gazprombank

In the fall of 2015, PJSC Uralmashzavod left the United Machine-Building Plants group of companies (Uralmash-Izhora Group) in connection with the transfer of a controlling stake from PJSC OMZ to CJSC Gazprombank - Asset Management, which manages the closed unit investment fund Gazprombank - Engineering.

2013: OMZ Group

As of April 2013, OMZ Group:

2008-2011: Cryogenmash, Uralmashzavod and other assets come under the management of OMZ

During 2008-2011, a number of heavy engineering companies entered the management circuit of the United Machine-Building Plants:

As of August 2010, the United Engineering Plants (OMZ) is one of the leading heavy engineering companies specializing in engineering, production, sales and service maintenance of equipment for nuclear power, petrochemical and oil and gas, mining, as well as in the production of special steels and the provision of industrial services. OMZ production sites are located in Russia and the Czech Republic. The Group is controlled by Gazprombank (Open Joint Stock Company).

2007: Creation of Uralmash Machine-Building Corporation together with Metalloinvest Management Company

In 2007, OJSC OMZ and Management Company Metalloinvest agreed to create on parity terms a single industrial complex for the production of equipment for metallurgy, mining, oil and gas industry and other industries on the basis of OJSC Ural Heavy Engineering Plant and OJSC ORMETO-YUUMZ and a number of engineering companies. The new structure was called CJSC Machine-Building Corporation Uralmash.

2004: Inclusion in the group of assets in the Czech Republic

In 2004, the OMZ Group was replenished with Czech companies: Skoda JS a.s., Skoda Hute s.r.o. и Skoda Kovarny s.r.o. Later, in 2007, Skoda Hute s.r.o. и Skoda Kovarny s.r.o. were merged into one legal entity - Pilsen Steel s.r.o.

Skoda JS a.s. for more than fifty years he has been engaged in engineering and supply of equipment for nuclear power. During this time, Skoda JS a.s. gained significant experience and became a reliable supplier of equipment for nuclear power plants worldwide.

2003: ADR listing on the London Stock Exchange

An important stage in the development of the company was the placement in September 2003 of ordinary shares of OMZ OJSC in the form of American depositary receipts (ADR) on the London Stock Exchange.

1998: Inclusion in the group of OJSC "Izhora Plants" and renaming to OMZ

In 1998, the company included OJSC Izhora Plants, and it was renamed the Open Joint Stock Company United Machine-Building Plants (Uralmash-Izhora Group) (OMZ OJSC).

Izhora plants are the oldest enterprise in Russia, which laid the foundation for the development of domestic engineering and for almost two hundred years known as the Admiralty Izhora Plants. In the 1950s, Izhora factories created a specialized production for the production of excavators for the developing mining industry of the country. In the 1960s, specialized metallurgical and machine-building facilities were created at Izhora plants for the serial production of equipment for nuclear power plants with water-water power reactors.

1996: Education "Ural Machine-Building Plants"

OMZ OJSC (the original name is Ural Machine-Building Plants) was established in 1996 on the basis of the Ural Heavy Engineering Plant (Uralmashzavod OJSC) and the Welded Machine-Building Structures Plant (ZSMK OJSC).

Uralmashzavod stood at the origins of the creation and rearmament of the basic sectors of the country's economy, which form the economy and budget of Russia. Machines and equipment manufactured at Uralmashzavod operate in 42 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
