2025: VTB bought a 5-star hotel complex "Kamchatka Chalet"

VTB Bank, through its affiliated structure Sunny Beach, acquired the five-star hotel complex Kamchatka Chalet, located in the village of Paratunka, Kamchatka Territory. The deal to transfer 100% of shares in Chalet LLC, which owns the hotel facility, was registered on July 17, 2025, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. The seller of the hotel business was the Ozernovsky fish canning plant No. 55, associated with the structures of the son of the governor of Primorsky Krai. This became known on August 11, 2025.

According to RBC, the VTB press service confirmed information about the acquisition of a hotel asset. Representatives of the bank explained that the purchase of a mini-hotel was carried out in order to develop tourism in the region. On the territory of the hotel it is planned to erect additional facilities and carry out improvement work.

The hotel complex was put into operation in 2023 after an investment of about ₽1,6 billion. The facility includes a main building with 32 rooms, four cottages, a restaurant, swimming pools, a library and a caviar shop. The total land area is about 6 hectares.

The hotel is located 50 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and 35 kilometers from Elizovo airport. The project provides a platform for helicopters, which is due to the remoteness of the facility from the main infrastructure of the region.

The construction of the hotel complex was carried out by the Chalet company, created in April 2018 by local businessman Oleg Novachenko. A few months after the establishment, the structure came under the control of the Ozernovsky fish canning plant No. 55.

The fish canning plant is part of the Salmonica group, specializing in the extraction and processing of Kamchatka salmon, pollock, cod and North Kuril scallop. According to Forbes, the owners of the group are the son of the governor of Primorsky Krai Nikita Kozhemyako and his partners.[1]
