Start-up of turbine blade plant in Russia
Gazprom Energoholding has launched its own production of turbine blades in Russia. The foundry complex is located in the Uzlovaya special economic zone in the Tula region. The facility was built for two years on the principles of project financing. Production capabilities will amount to 23 thousand castings per year after reaching full capacity. This became known on October 8, 2025.
According to Interfax, the foundry complex is the largest specialized blade manufacturing enterprise in Russia. The creation provides Gazprom with technological sovereignty in the production of blades for gas pumping units. Compressor stations of main gas pipelines use thousands of units for gas transportation. In the future, it is planned to produce blades for high-capacity gas turbines. Power turbines are used in power plants across the country. Import substitution of critical components reduces dependence on foreign suppliers.
The operator of the complex will be Gazprom Energoholding Foundry Technologies. The organization is part of Gazprom Energoholding Industrial Assets. The holding unites the group's engineering enterprises throughout Russia. Nevsky Zavod in St. Petersburg produces energy equipment. Tyumen Motor Builders produces engines for the gas industry. The integration of production facilities strengthens the technological chain.
The project was implemented in accordance with the agreement of intent of June 16, 2023. The parties were PJSC Gazprom, the government of the Tula region and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The construction of the complex was launched on October 10, 2023 at the site. The implementation period was less than two years from the beginning to launch.[1]

Gazprom and Renova Group of Companies intend to combine electric power assets
In July 2018, Chairman of the Management Board Alexey Miller and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renova Group Viktor Vekselberg signed an Agreement of Intent at Gazprom's headquarters.

As part of the development of the Shareholder Agreement, the Parties intend to determine the final list of assets and the amount of shares in the combined Company, prepare all the necessary legally binding documentation, and agree on a transaction with the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
The Board of Directors approved Gazprom's strategy in the electric power industry for 2018-2027
Gazprom has created the largest vertically integrated electric power holding in Russia. The main assets in the field of generation of electric and thermal energy, transmission and sale of thermal energy are consolidated on the basis of Gazprom Energoholding LLC. The installed capacity of these generating assets is 38.8 GW. Gazprom Energoholding is one of the top ten leading European power producers.
Gazprom almost fully fulfilled its investment obligations under the capacity supply agreement program: 8.6 GW of new, high-tech capacity was put into operation, which made it possible to abandon the use of inefficient generating capacity of 3.7 GW. The last project is being implemented within the framework of the program - the construction of the Grozny TPP. Gazprom Energoholding Group companies are financially stable. The average annual revenue growth in 2007-2017 was about 15%.
The key strategic goal of the company in the electric power industry for the period 2018-2027 is to ensure stable profit growth while maintaining a high level of reliability of energy supply to consumers.
The strategy, in particular, involves the implementation of projects to create new and modernize existing generating capacities, as well as the withdrawal of facilities whose operation is not economically feasible. Special attention is paid to further improvement of operational efficiency, technological development, use of import-substituting equipment. Gazprom is also aimed at diversifying its electricity business by entering promising markets in Russia and abroad.
2012
In 2012, the total volume of electricity generation by the holding's power plants amounted to 166.9 billion kWh (approximately 17% of the total electricity production in the country), useful heat generation - 101.1 million Gcal.
2009
As a result of the reform of RAO UES of Russia and participation in additional issues of shares of generating companies, the main elements of the structure of the electric power sector of the Gazprom Group were formed and a vertically integrated management company Gazprom Energoholding LLC was created, under the management of which were four main generating companies: OJSC Mosenergo, OJSC TGK 1, OJSC OGK-2 and OJSC OGK-6.
At the end of 2009, the consolidation of controlling stakes in these companies at Gazprom Energoholding LLC was completed. On November 1, 2011, OGK-6 ceased operations, joining OGK-2 with the transfer of all property and obligations.
