2026: ВЭБ.РФ became the owner of Novotorzhsky LPK
ВЭБ.РФ State Corporation has completed the acquisition of a 100% stake in Novotorzhsky LPK (Tver Region). The purchase took place following the results of open competitive procedures in February 2026.
ВЭБ.РФ Chairman Igor Shuvalov said that the development of high-tech industries and the support of professional teams are a strategic priority of the state corporation. According to him, Novotorzhsky LPK should become the flagship enterprise in the field of deep wood processing in Russia.
As the deputy chairman of the ВЭБ.РФ, Alexander Tarabrin, explained, with the support of the state corporation, the plant is introducing advanced technological solutions, expanding its product line and entering new markets. Tarabrin noted that this work forms the prospects for the growth of the enterprise and contributes to the strengthening of the segment of wooden housing construction.
According to Kommersant, the transition of the asset to ВЭБ.РФ was the result of bankruptcy procedures for the former owner, STOD. The organization has not fulfilled its credit obligations related to the launch and development of production facilities. The STOD insolvency process was opened in 2021, and external management was introduced at the enterprise.
In 2024, during the financial recovery, a new legal entity was registered - Novotorzhsky LPK joint-stock company. In 2025, acting as the main creditor of woodworking assets in Torzhok, the state corporation announced the replacement of STOD property. The production profile and workforce were retained in full.
Konstantin Danilov, General Director of the LesInvest management organization, stressed that Novotorzhsky LPK is a high-tech enterprise that meets modern industry standards. Danilov noted that in the structure of the ВЭБ.РФ, a team of more than 1.2 thousand people is aimed at implementing large projects.[1]
