2025: Establishment of the Institute
In Novosibirsk, the Research Institute of Electronic Instrumentation (NIIRP) was officially established on the basis of a partnership between the Novosibirsk State Technical University and the joint-stock company Radio and Microelectronics. The regulation on the sectoral research institute of electronic instrumentation was signed by the general director of RiM JSC Yevgeny Bukreev and the rector of NSTU NETI Anatoly Bataev as part of the ceremony held on September 12, 2025.
According to Interfax, the new structure involves the division of functions between partners - the scientific component will be concentrated in NSTU NETI, and practical and engineering training of specialists will be held at the production sites of JSC RiM enterprises. University students will start working at the enterprise from the second or third year of study.
The Radio and Microelectronics company finances the construction of an additional building to accommodate NIIRP laboratories with an area of 4 thousand square meters. The cost of the new facility is about ₽500 million, and commissioning is scheduled for September 1, 2026. Investment in infrastructure will significantly expand the research and educational capabilities of the institute.
The creation of a research institute is being implemented within the framework of the Priority-2030 state program aimed at developing the scientific and technological potential of Russian universities. On the basis of the university, six specialized laboratories are formed for research and training in various areas of radio electronics and instrument making.
The structure of NIIRP laboratories covers key areas of modern electronic instrumentation:
- "Microcontrollers and digital circuitry";
- "Automated Mold Design and Industrial Robotics";
- "Analog circuitry and power electronics";
- "High-voltage measuring and switching equipment";
- "Design and technology of electronic devices";
- "Marketing and Analysis of Industrial Equipment Markets."[1]
