2023: Dmitry Merzlov's appointment as CEO

October 16, 2023 announced the appointment of Dmitry Merzlov as the new general director of the Academician V. S. Semenikhin Research Institute of Automatic Equipment (NIIAA JSC). 2020: Plans to open a vocational education center for "digital" competencies together with Roselectronics

On May 15, 2020, the Roselectronics holding of Rostec State Corporation announced the opening of the Center for Additional Professional Education on "digital" competencies for employees of electronic industry enterprises. The project of creating the Center became the winner of the competitive selection of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia for the right to receive subsidies from the federal budget.

The Center for Additional Professional Education will be formed on the basis of the Semenikhin Research Institute of Automatic Equipment (part of Roselectronics). It is planned to conduct training in 15 areas, including applied informatics, automation of technological processes and industries, information security, knowledge-intensive technologies and innovation economics, and software engineering.

Training can take place both in full-time and remotely. The duration of the programs is from 16 to 250 academic hours. The teachers of the center will be representatives of leading technical universities in Russia, as well as industry experts from enterprises.

As part of the pilot project, which starts in June 2020, up to 25 people will be able to study for each program. In order to become students of the courses, employees of the radio-electronic industry need to apply for training at NIIAA.

2013: Assets

As of March 2013, the Institute was identified by the Government of the Russian Federation as the parent company for the implementation of the most important works of the State program for the creation and improvement of automated control systems.

It has experimental production for the manufacture, debugging, repair and warranty maintenance of a wide range of hardware and software.

The institute has a dissertation council for the consideration of doctoral and master's theses. There is a basic department of the Moscow State Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation (Technical University) (MIREA), which provides training for engineers for industry enterprises.

2012: Revenue - 2.35 billion rubles

The revenue of NIIAA for 2012 amounted to 2.35 billion rubles, net profit amounted to 69 million rubles.

2004-2005

In 2004, a special set of automation tools of the public administration system was developed and put into permanent operation. For the performance of this work in 2005, the staff of the Institute was thanked by the President of the Russian Federation.

The 1970th

In the 1970s, the institute headed the work of a significant cooperation of industrial enterprises in the country to create and implement a spatially distributed special ACS unique in scale and operational and technical characteristics. It included a number of automated systems, subsystems and complexes that jointly function within the means of a unique telecommunications system that provides switching and adaptive routing of transmitted data packets. The system was put into operation in 1980 and to date (2013) ensures sustainable operation. For outstanding success in the same year, the institute was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and about nine hundred employees of the institute - orders and medals of the USSR.

Over the years of its activity, a new branch of knowledge was created at the institute, called system engineering, the school of which was attended by thousands of specialists. Scientific and technical knowledge created by previous generations of developers developed.

1956: Establishment of the Institute

The Institute was created in 1956 as a NII-101 of the USSR Ministry of Radio Engineering to automate special systems.
