2022: Softline Acquisition Agreement

Softline on October 10, 2022 announced the signing of an agreement to acquire the Indian company Value Point Systems, which provides solutions and services in the field of digital infrastructure and information security.

The deal will contribute to improving the efficiency of commercial activities and expanding Softline's capabilities in the field of information security, digital infrastructure, managed solutions and services in India. With this acquisition, which embodies Softline's India strategy and vision of "investing in India for India," 2,000 local Value Point System customers will have access to Softline's full portfolio of solutions and services.

The growth of Value Point Systems is based on more than 30 years of experience and a professional team of 1,200 employees across seven offices across the country. The company has become a provider of next generation end-to-end solutions for digital infrastructure and information security in India through collaboration with technology partners such as AWS, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP, Microsoft, VMWare, Zscaler, etc. Over the years, Value Point Systems has formed a portfolio that includes six end-to-end solutions and services as of October 2022: information security, data center upgrades, network transformation, cloud transformation, digital workplace, and managed IT services. These solutions will complement Softline's own portfolio.

In particular, after the completion of the transaction on the acquisition of Value Point Systems, Softline's global information security offer will receive additional quality of one of the leading solutions in India - SOC from Value Point Systems. Value Point Systems' information security integration capabilities and comprehensive consulting offerings will complement Softline's existing services.

In addition, Value Point Systems will attract more than 800 highly qualified digital engineering specialists to the Softline team. These specialists will continue to provide digital infrastructure management and transformation services to customers in India, complementing the Softline team.

According to a recent NTT report, 96.3% of businesses in India see the cloud as something critical to transforming their business. As of October 2022, there are 1.48 million companies in India that are on the verge of switching to cloud technologies or introducing advanced information security solutions to protect their assets. As a leading solution provider in India, Softline plans to support them in choosing the right digital and information security solutions in their pursuit of greater success by improving efficiency, speed, security and simplifying their day-to-day operations. With the acquisition of Value Point Systems, Softline will now be able to expand its portfolio of cloud and information security solutions, as well as staff providing managed IT services.
